At Southfields Veterinary Specialists we have rapidly expanded and grown our referral services to offer a broader range of specialisms. At this exciting time, we’re looking to not only attract the very best in Veterinary Specialists to make a huge difference to our clients, but to also invest in and develop successful Veterinary Specialists of the future.
Our commitment is to offer nine paid one-year rotating Internship positions each year, gaining experience in Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Neurology and Anaesthesia, as well as evening, nights and weekend duties. As an Intern you’ll work in close collaboration with senior clinicians in each discipline and, under their supervision will be given responsibilities suited to your level of knowledge and skills. It’s a great opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills in our different specialist disciplines. You’ll be a highly motivated individual keen to progress your career with a discipline specific internship and residency programme and ultimately become a board-certified specialist.
Southfields Veterinary Specialists provide an organised theoretical and practical teaching programme. You’ll experience intensive and challenging training through blended learning by being exposed to the daily clinical activities of the specialist teams.
