Senior Theatre Nurse – Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Southfields Veterinary Specialists is currently recruiting for a Senior Theatre Nurse, that will work directly with the Head of Nursing Services and Senior Nurse team to provide exceptional care and support our colleagues – ensuring our core values and commitment to excellence are provided at all times.
You will work as part of the senior and nursing team. The role will offer responsibility for working with the specialist-lead surgery team.
This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require team work and dedication to the service and its patients.
You will report directly to the Nurse Manager and support the senior nursing team as our teams, services, facilities and equipment continue to enhance and grow.
You will be responsible for development of operating procedures, team morale, coordination of day-to-day activities, and continual enhancement of our commitment to excellence.
The role includes day-to-day nursing duties.
This is an exciting time to join Southfields as we expand our offering and invest in new services. Joining a new team will allow you to develop a service and work within an exceptional and supportive team.
You will be exposed to cases from all disciplines, including emergency and routine procedures.
Referral experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

You need to be a highly motivated self-starter with the:
- leadership qualities to co-ordinate, support and motivate a busy surgical team while demonstrating excellent organisational skills to assist in managing conflicting priorities
- experience of, and a passion for, mentoring and training colleagues
- the desire to provide the best clinical service to our patients, allowing you to demonstrate a proactive approach to developing and shaping a growing service
Specific experience/qualification/status/citizenship requirements
You must fulfil the following requirements:
- Are a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
- Maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of your work
- Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK
