Ane is originally from the Basque country in Spain. She began her studies in Zaragoza (Spain) before she was transferred to the Veterinary School of Paris (ENVA) where she obtained her veterinary diploma. Ane did her general internship at the CHV Fregis, a large referral hospital in Paris after which, she went back to the Veterinary School of Paris to complete a three-year European residency in Neurology and obtained her ECVN diploma in 2011. Ane worked for 8 years as a Neurology and Neurosurgery clinician in a large referral hospital in Surrey where she obtained her RCVS Recognised Specialist in Neurology. Ane then moved to Boston, US to work as an Assistant professor of Neurology-Neurosurgery at Tufts University where she worked as a professor, researcher and clinician for 3 years

Ane’s research interest is in epilepsy and cerebrospinal fluid abnormalities linked to connective tissue disorders, therefore her clinical strength is in brain and spine surgery, with special love and care for neuro-oncology and surgical options for chronic pain management.

Ane’s family loves new adventures and travelling: her husband was born in South Africa, her son in America and her dog in Essex. They all love outdoor activities and learning new cultures and languages.

Fabio graduated from the University of Padova, Italy in 2003 and then worked in first opinion small animal practice for three years. In 2006 he undertook a PhD at the University of Padova in Small Animal Neurology and Neurosurgery. Fabio undertook an ECVN-approved Residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Animal Health Trust and became an ECVN Diplomate in 2017.

Fabio enjoys every aspect of Neurology and Neurosurgery and finds nothing more satisfying that give paralised animals the chance to walk again and enjoy life with their owners. Fabio’s main areas of interest are Neurosurgery and Epilepsy. Fabio aims to provide the highest standard of care for all his patients and their owners.

Out of work Fabio enjoys travelling, gardening and spending time and caring for his dogs and cat.

Sophie Wyatt

Clinician in Neurology

Sophie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2012. She completed three years in general practice during which time she also volunteered for overseas veterinary charities in Greece and Fiji. Following this she completed a rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College, and a neurology-specific internship at Pride Veterinary Centre. Sophie undertook an ECVN residency programme at the Royal Veterinary College to complete her neurology specialist training.

Sophie is interested in all aspects of veterinary clinical neurology and research. Key interests include neuro-ophthalmology, management of traumatic brain injury, neuro-oncology, and feline neurological disease.

Outside of work Sophie enjoys travelling, cycling and cooking. Her hobbies include rowing and running.

Oliver Marsh

Neurology Resident

Prior to becoming a vet Oliver graduated with a degree in history from the University of Newcastle and spent a number of years working in the horseracing industry. Oliver then attended the University of Nottingham Veterinary School and qualified as a vet in 2015. He spent two years in first opinion practice where he developed an interest in neurology. Oliver then undertook a rotating internship, followed by a Neurology and Neurosurgery internship, both at the Animal Health Trust, before moving to Southfields in January 2020.

Outside of work, Oliver enjoys playing the guitar, running and gardening.

Guillaume Albertini

Neurology Intern

Guillaume graduated from the University of Toulouse, France in 2016 and then worked in first opinion small animal practice for 6 months where he developed an interest in anesthesia and neurology. He became a clinician in anesthesia before undertaking a rotating internship in the same university. Guillaume then worked as a Neurology and Neurosurgery intern at Languedocia referral practice, France. His interest for Neurology and Neurosurgery drove him to undertake a neurology and Neurosurgery internship at the Animal Health trust, before moving to Southfields Veterinary Specialists in January 2020.

Outside of work, Guillaume enjoys travelling, running or simply spending time in the British countryside.

Kirsty Aloi

Neurology Nurse

Kirsty worked in first opinion practice for 6 years before qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017. Prior to joining Southfields Veterinary Specialists, Kirsty worked in a neutering centre, an emergency out of hours facility and she has also volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary. She enjoys all aspects of her role as a veterinary nurse and finds it incredibly rewarding.

When she is not at work, Kirsty enjoys spending time with her dog Alfie and has a keen interest in photography.
