Katie Brown

Senior Nursing Assistant
Katie has worked in various roles in both first opinion and referral practices and has a passion for Animal Care and Welfare. She is currently studying to become a qualified Canine Hydrotherapist and she has a keen interest in post surgical rehabilitation.
Outside work, Katie enjoys spending time with family, friends and her cat Albus. She also enjoys walking, travelling and snowboarding.
Sharron Ward

Nursing Assistant
Sharron joined our reception team in November 2015. Prior to this, she worked in a first opinion veterinary practice in Romford for 12 years. After rescuing a tortoise called Shelley, Sharron decided to pursue a diploma in Herpetology. She also qualified as a Veterinary Care Assistant during her time there.
Outside work, Sharron lives with her daughter, her two black cats, Pixie and Flea, her two budgies, Gie and Pip and, of course, Shelley the tortoise.
Tommy Watson
VCA, Dip Animal Care
Nursing Assistant
Tommy joined the Southfields team in May 2018 as a Nursing Assistant.
Tommy has worked in veterinary practices since 2014 and is keen to become a veterinary nurse. He is particularly interested in animal psychology.
In his spare time, Tommy likes to spend time with his family and looking after his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Jessie and his Bearded Dragon, Hagrid. He is also currently learning British Sign Language.
Alice Townhill
Nursing Assistant
Alice joined Southfields in April 2019 as one of our Nursing Assistants. Alice has previously not worked in the veterinary profession but has always wanted to work with and care for animals.
At home, Alice has two cats called Toulouse and Trevor and a rabbit called Thumper. Alice enjoys visiting classic car shows with her classic Mini Cooper, going to the cinema and photography.
Briney Miller
Level 2 BTEC Technicals Animal Care diploma
Nursing Assistant
Briney has always been interested in Animal Care and enrolled in the Level 2 BTEC Technicals Animal Care course at Capel Manor College. After completing her diploma, Briney moved into the veterinary industry and worked at a rehoming centre. Briney joined Southfields in June 2019 as one of our Nursing Assistants.
In her spare time, Briney enjoys reading and walkin her dogs.
Wendy Blick
Nursing Assistant
Wendy has previously volunteered at several animal rescue centres and was lucky enough to combine her love for animals and travel by volunteering in South Africa. During her trip to South Africa, Wendy cared for many exotic birds and animals. More recently, Wendy worked at a human hospital as a healthcare assistant in orthopaedic theatres.
In her spare time, Wendy enjoys travelling, going to the cinema and spending time with her family and friends. Not forgetting, spending time with her Labrador, Murphy.
I'mogen Williamson
Animal Management BSc Hons
Nursing Assistant
After finishing secondary education, I’mogen went on to study animal management at Southend College, finishing her degree at Writtle College.
At home I’mogen has a cat and previously has volunteered at a company that gives reptile experiences to children.
In her spare time, I’mogen enjoys reading, playing the piano and violin.
Megan Isobella Jameison
Nursing Assistant
Megan joined Southfields in October 2019 as one of our Night Nursing Assistants. Previous to this, Megan worked in a riding stables, looking after the horses and ponies.
In her spare time, Megan volunteers at a sanctuary for horses, ponies and donkeys, which she loves and she has her own horse that takes up the rest of her free time.
Lindsay Wood
Nursing Assistant
Since leaving school Lindsay attended college and then university, studying fashion design and marketing but she did not find that this was a good fit for her. Animals have always been a part of her life and a passion of for her.
In her spare time Lindsay enjoys sewing, knitting, art, gaming and spending time with her rabbit Gizmo.
