Daniel Hogan

Hospital Director

After completing A-levels, Daniel began a career as a Veterinary Nurse, and after completing his training, qualified as an RVN in 2007. He became Head Nurse at a large 24-hour veterinary hospital in East London, before progressing to the role of Hospitals Manager for Village Vet Group. Daniel became Operations Manager and Academy Principal at a large referral centre and training academy in Cambridgeshire, before joining our team in 2017 to take up the role of Operations Manager.

Daniel holds the A1/V1 Clinical Coach qualifications, Level 3 in British Sign Language and is currently completing a Chartered Management Institute Level 7 qualification in Strategic Leadership. He also sits on the project board for Vet Futures, an organisation set up by the British Veterinary Association and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to help deliver the very best for animal health and welfare, the public and the veterinary profession.

When he’s not at work, Daniel plays the drums in a band, does a lot of running (he’s training for his next marathon!) and enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, Trevor.

Sarah Stam

Sarah worked as a weekend kennel hand in a local boarding kennels, before joining our team as an Evening Receptionist in 2005. In 2006, she decided to go to Australia for 6 months and her mother kept her evening role open for her.

Upon her return, Sarah became a full time member of our reception team and eventually became the Senior Receptionist. Sarah’s role changed again in December 2017 when she was promoted to Operations Assistant.

In her spare time, Sarah shows her family’s Field Spaniels and is also a volunteer dog trainer at a local training school. She lives with a three legged Greyhound called Biffy and a crazy Cocker Spaniel called Ruby, and part-time Field Spaniel puppies, Libby and Lincoln.

Nicola Barrigan

Head of Nursing Services

Nicola qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2009 while working at a busy 24-hour Veterinary Hospital in East London. She has a keen interest in anaesthesia and ECC and, following qualification, she held the roles of Orthopaedic Nurse and Charge Nurse before progressing to the position of Nursing Managing in 2014. In 2019, Nicola successfully completed her ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

Nicola owns a classic VW Campervan and enjoys socialising with other VW enthusiasts.

She has two rescue dogs, Harry and Winston, and loves to spend her weekends walking the dogs in Epping Forest with family and friends.

Lindsey Froggatt

Business Relationship Manager

Lindsey qualified as a vet in 2009 at the University of Ghent, Belgium. She worked in first line small animal practice after her degree in Kent. Lindsey wanted to pursue a different direction with her career and so she is delighted to start at Southfields as a Business Relationship Manager.

Lindsey spends her spare time looking after her two children, as well as her two cats Harry and Leo. She enjoys cooking, baking and pilates.

People Coordinator

Kerry joined Southfields in August 2019 as our People Coordinator, after previously working in customer care for 18 years. Prior to coming to Southfields, Kerry worked in HR support for 3 years.

At home, Kerry lives with her son Ryan and her German Shepherd x Akita, Chunk. In her spare time, Kerry enjoys making chocolate bouquets and sweet treats. She enjoys writing short stories, eating out with friends and watching shows.

Before joining our team, Jessica qualified as a hairdresser and worked in a salon after leaving school. She left the salon in 2013 and worked as a self-employed hairdresser, whilst also working in a supermarket. She now works full time as our Early Receptionist.

Jessica lives at home with her family’s 9 Spaniels and 1 cat. She is the younger sister of our Operations Assistant, Sarah and daughter of our Saturday Receptionist, Susan.

Lauren joined Southfields Veterinary Specialists in November 2017 as part of our administration team. She is currently studying for a Complete Animal Care course, which will result in qualifications in Animal Care Level 2, Animal Welfare Level 4 and Veterinary Support Assistant Level 3 once the course is completed.

In her spare time, Lauren performs as a solo artist, singing Jazz, Blues and Soul covers. She has a passion for travelling and exploring different cultures and iconic architecture. Lauren also has her hands full with two little Shihtzu dogs, Oscar and Jessie, who love cuddles, sleep and chicken!

Sam has many years experience in administration and customer service and joined our Administration Team in 2017 as a Receptionist.

When she’s not on duty at Southfields, Sam loves spending time with her son, Charlie, and her dog, Daisy. She has a walk-through bird aviary and many chickens who all get lots of fuss and attention.

Amelia joined Southfields Veterinary Specialists in July 2018, with many years of caring experience and a love of animals.

Amelia volunteers with the Dogs Trust and enjoys spending time with horses, often taking horses from a local riding school on long hacks. She also enjoys taking time to go on long walks with her own dog.

Pharmacy Assistant

Jade joined Southfields in June 2019 as our Pharmacy Assistant. Previous to joining Southfields Jade worked as a pharmacy assistant in a high street pharmacy for almost three years. During this time she earned an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Skills. She also won best of the best in healthcare for the area of Essex in 2017.

In her spare time, Jade enjoys going for long walks and running. She also loves to go on holiday, travelling to Australia, Bali and USA. During her college years, Jade studied Travel and Tourism and Cabin Crew course. She has two Guinea Pigs called Merry and Pippin.

Kathryn joined the Client Care Team Southfields January 2020. She has a huge passion for exploring around the globe and went away travelling for 3 years, where she then lived in Australia for 2.

She has 2 family cats called Millie and Lucy who she loves very much and visits regularly at her family home in Manchester.

Her creativeness was articulated when she joined Oxford School of Drama for a year. Her dexterity of acting was presented in many theatrical productions over the years.

Of a weekend, Kathryn tends to enjoy many walks; exploring the tranquil areas around her home. She also often appreciates catching up with the friends made over the years and from around the world.

Emma joined Southfields in March 2020 as one of our Insurance Claims Handlers.

Emma has worked in the veterinary industry for the last 6 years and has always wanted to work with animals since a young age.

In her spare time Emma enjoys creative hobbies, like drawing and making decorative wreaths. She is also an avid horror and thriller fan.

Emma has two cats and two dogs who she likes to spoil!
