Head of Diagnostic Imaging/Radiologist

Southfields Veterinary Specialists are currently recruiting for a Diagnostic Imager who is board certified, or board-eligible (European, or American) and will lead the team in our brand new 40,000 sqft purpose-built state of the art specialist-led centre.

Moving in 2020 you will lead a team that has been provided with some of the most advanced diagnostic equipment and facilities.

You will be committed to developing the practice and providing high standards of care to both our patients and referring veterinary surgeons. Our purpose-built, referral-only practice is complimented by an excellent multi-disciplinary specialist-led team and provides the opportunity to work with some of the most exceptional and dedicated veterinary professionals in a supportive environment. This exciting role will require the candidate to:

  • Leadership and management of the team with support from the Directors and Heads of Services
  • Providing clinical service as a specialist consultant
  • Responsible for ensuring the development of SFVS imaging service
  • Supporting and developing your team of consultants, residents, interns, technicians, and nurses
  • Working collaboratively with all other services and fostering good relationships
  • Developing new ways of working and SOP’s within our new centre
  • Recruitment and team development
  • Training and development of diagnostics with our new state-of-the-art equipment and services
  • Exceed professional standards that will advance patient care
  • Be an ambassador for the team

What kind of person you need to be

You need to be a highly motivated self-starter with the:

Specific experience/qualification/status/citizenship requirements

You must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
  • Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of your work
  • Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK
